Exeter, and Egremont and his brother Richard, were ordered to appear before the King and Council on 25 June 1454. About this time a Bill reciting the misconduct of Egremont and Richard was presented by the Commons, and it was enacted that proclamations should be made commanding them to appear before the Chancellor within a certain time, and find sufficient surety of peace or be committed to prison; if they did not appear, they were to forfeit all they possessed. (Percy), Thomas 1st Baron Egremont (I914)
