    Hereditary Title:
    This title is a "putative" creation: "from 12 October 1514, or just before it, [he] was called (which by something like a consensus among modern historians is taken to constitute a new creation) Lord (Baron) Montagu (E)."

    After being imprisoned in the Tower of London 4 November 1538, he was attainted (whereupon all his honours were forfeited) and declared guilty of treason 2 December 1538.

Margaret (daughter of George (Plantagenet), Duke of Clarence and Lady Isabel Neville) was born on 14 Aug. 1473 in Farley Castle, Farleigh Hungerford, Somerset, England; died on 27 May 1541 in Tower of London, London, Middlesex, England; was buried in Chapel of St. Peter ad Vincula, Tower of London, London, Middlesex, England.   2. 13.  Saint Margaret (Plantagenet), suo jure Countess of Salisbury was born on 14 Aug. 1473 in Farley Castle, Farleigh Hungerford, Somerset, England (daughter of George (Plantagenet), Duke of Clarence and Lady Isabel Neville); died on 27 May 1541 in Tower of London, London, Middlesex, England; was buried in Chapel of St. Peter ad Vincula, Tower of London, London, Middlesex, England.
