    Berengaria married Richard I (Plantagenet), the Lionheart, King of England on 12 May 1191 in Limasol, Cyprus. Richard (son of Henry II (Plantagenet), King of England and Eleanor (d'Aquitaine), of Aquitaine) was born on 8 Sept. 1157 in Oxford, Oxfordshire, England; died on 6 April 1199 in Châlus, Aquitaine, France; was buried in Fontevrault, Anjou, France.
