    Burke's Peerage and Baronetage (2003), page 2247, contradicts itself by stating that Katherine married Francis Fitton in 1588 but died circa December 1587. We have therefore accepted the date of death as 28 October 1596, as stated in Sir Egerton Brydges (ed.), Collins's Peerage of England (London, nine volumes), volume II (1812), page 326.
