| Text | "In the High Court of Justice The Principal Registry of the Family Division BE IT KNOWN that MARIE LOUISE RIPLEY of Clarefield Sunningdale Berkshire died on the 27th day of August 1971 domiciled in England and Wales AND BE IT FURTHER KNOWN that at the date hereunder written the last Will and Testament with a codicil thereto (a copy whereof is hereunto annexed) of the said deceased was proved and registered in the Principal Registry of the Family Division of the High Court of Justice and Administration of all the estate which by law devolves to and vests in the personal representative of the said deceased was granted by the aforesaid Court to JOHN KYRLE HOLDSWORTH RIPLEY of 26 Charles Street Berkeley Square London W.1 and SYLVIA ISABEL RIPLEY of Clarefield London Road Sunningdale aforesaid the executors named in the said will. And it is hereby certified that an Inland Revenue affidavit has been delivered wherein it is shown that the gross value of the said estate in Great Britain (exclusive of what the said deceased may have been possessed of or entitled to as a trustee and not beneficially) amounts to £5125.23 and that the net value of the estate amounts to £4999.59. Dated the 20th day of October 1971. Extracted by A. F. & R. W. Tweadie 5 & 7 Lincoln's Inn Fields London WC2A 3BT." ***** "This is the last Will AND TESTAMENT of me MARIE LOUISE RIPLEY of Clarefield Sunningdale in the County of Berkshire Widow 1. I HEREBY REVOKE all Wills and testamentary dispositions heretofore made by me AND DECLARE this to be my last Will 2. I DESIRE that my body shall be cremated 3. I APPOINT my son JOHN KYRLE HOLDSWORTH RIPLEY of 13 Radnor Place W. 2 in the County of London and my daughter SYLVIA ISABEL RIPLEY of Clarefield Sunningdale aforesaid to be the Executors and Trustees of this my Will 4. I GIVE (free of duty) the following specific legacies :– (i) To my son the said JOHN KYRLE HOLDSWORTH RIPLEY my pictures (ii) To my daughter the said SYLVIA ISABEL RIPLEY my jewellery and my furniture and household effects not otherwise specifically bequeathed by this my Will (iii) To my said son JOHN KYRLE HOLDSWORTH RIPLEY and my said daughter SYLVIA ISABEL RIPLEY in equal shares my silver and plated articles 5. SUBJECT as aforesaid and to payment of my funeral and testamentary expenses death duties and debts I GIVE DEVISE AND BEQUEATH all my estate both real and personal whatsoever and wheresoever situate which I can dispose of by Will in any manner I think proper whether beneficially entitled thereto or under any general power UNTO such of them my said son JOHN KYRLE HOLDSWORTH RIPLEY and my said daughter SYLVIA ISABEL RIPLEY as shall survive me absolutely if more than one in equal shares 6. PROVIDED ALWAYS that if either of them my said son or my said daughter shall predecease me leaving a child or children living at my death such child or children shall take if more than one equally between them whatsoever benefits his her or their parent would have taken under this my Will had he or she survived me IN WITNESS whereof I have hereunto set my hand to this my Will this Twenty second day of March One thousand nine hundred and fifty seven SIGNED by the said MARIE LOUISE RIPLEY as and for her last Will in the presence of us both being present at the same time who at her request in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses :- {Marie L.
